Savoir Faire may be French weeeee weeeee but St Croix is moving some of its rod production to Mexico si si from what I hear. I love the 8′ length for figure 8’s and hook setting. Bulldawg Rods

I am looking to purchase a new 8′ rod for casting magnum bulldawgs and cowgirls but I rds not sure which one to buy. Anybody else hear about problems with them? I am look ing at another 8′ MH St. Made by Trophy Technologies.

St. Croix vs. Bulldawg Rods

Quick Set Sucker Rigs. Despite what you may read on-line or in print, the difference from 8′ to 8’6″ is marginal. I would reccomend using a different setup for each type of bait. As a rod get’s over 8′ it’s very hard to get seties to balance decent, which increases angler fatigue.
